Join Family Start’s ACC Sensitive Claims team
We welcome therapists, allied health professionals and cultural advisers who want to make a difference with the backing of a friendly, connected local team. Whether you already work with ACC or are considering it for the first time, we would love to hear from you.
Which pathway is right for you?
1. Existing Named Service Providers
Already approved by ACC to deliver Sensitive Claims therapy or assessments? We can help arrange your addition to Family Start’s contract and guide you through onboarding so you can deliver your approved services with our support.

2. New Named Service Providers
For qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers wanting to deliver counselling. You must meet ACC’s professional, experience and supervision requirements and receive approval before starting. We can help you understand the application process.

3. New Service Providers
For registered social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, dietitians and speech-language therapists providing services other than counselling. You will need to meet the relevant ACC requirements, hold an ACC provider number and complete Family Start’s onboarding.

4. Cultural Support and Advice advisers
For people with cultural or community expertise that can help clients overcome barriers to engagement or recovery. This may include kaumātua, community elders, faith leaders, and people with relevant Rainbow/Takatāpui, disability or other cultural expertise. You do not necessarily need a clinical qualification. Family Start assesses suitability and completes required safety checks before services begin.
