Family Start offers welcoming spaces for counselling, meetings, training and community gatherings. From comfortable rooms for private conversations to a conference room equipped for hybrid meetings and a spacious hall, we have options to suit a range of needs.
Wi-Fi is included in the conference room, counselling and small meeting rooms, and Kererū Lounge. All listed hourly rates are exclusive of GST.

Pokai Conference Room
A well-equipped space for meetings that bring everyone together
The Pokai Conference Room comfortably seats 15 people and is ideal for board meetings, hybrid meetings and small corporate gatherings.
Two large 65-inch screens and a high-tech conferencing system make it easy to connect with people joining remotely. The system can join a Microsoft Teams meeting independently, so you can attend without bringing a computer. Alternatively, bring your own laptop and connect it to the system.
An in-room kitchenette provides facilities for tea and coffee, while free Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected.

Counselling and Small Meeting Rooms
Comfortable spaces for conversations and connection
Our counselling and small meeting rooms offer a relaxed, welcoming setting for 2–4 people. With comfortable chairs and couches, these spaces have a homely feel suited to counselling, private conversations and small meetings.
Choose from the Kiwi, Pīwakawaka, Tūī, Kākā, Huia and Kōkako rooms. Wi-Fi is available in every room.

Kererū Lounge
A homely setting for relaxed gatherings
Kererū Lounge is a larger, welcoming space suitable for 15–25 people. With tables, chairs and couches, it offers flexibility for gatherings that need a comfortable, less corporate atmosphere.
An attached full kitchen makes the lounge particularly useful for gatherings involving food. A 65-inch TV is available to connect to, and Wi-Fi is included.
The lounge is well suited to after-hours gatherings and quiet events. As other meeting rooms are nearby, activities need to keep noise at a level that respects people using those spaces.

Large Hall
Room for larger groups and shared learning
Our large hall is an excellent option for training, conferences, presentations and larger meetings. It comfortably accommodates approximately 50 people seated in a presentation-style layout, with a stage at the front of the hall.
The hall has an attached kitchen and multiple bathrooms. Smaller offices may also be available as breakout rooms—please let us know if you need these when enquiring.
