Be part of a team supporting clinicians across the diverse communities of Nelson and Tasman — from the city and surrounding suburbs to smaller towns, rural communities, and more isolated parts of the region.
Nelson and Tasman have a strong network of health and community professionals, and our role is to help strengthen that network. We work alongside local clinicians to make access to support easier, pathways clearer, and professional connections stronger. Our focus is on being responsive, approachable, and practical, so clinicians know they have someone local they can turn to when they need advice, guidance, or support.
The region is diverse, and there is no single approach that works everywhere. The needs of clinicians and clients in Nelson can be very different from those working in Motueka, Richmond, Golden Bay, Murchison, or rural Tasman. That is why local knowledge matters. We understand the importance of working in a way that reflects the communities we serve, recognising differences in geography, access, service availability, and the relationships that already exist across the region.
We want clinicians to feel connected rather than working in isolation. By building strong relationships across services, sharing knowledge, and helping navigate referral and support pathways, we can make the system easier to work within and more responsive for the people who rely on it.
